1. About Find Christian Sitters

Find Christian Sitters ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is an online marketplace that connects parents and guardians ("Parents") with independent childcare providers ("Sitters") who are active members of Christian church communities. We are based in North Carolina, USA. Find Christian Sitters does not employ Sitters. Sitters are independent individuals who use the platform to offer their services directly to Parents.

2. Eligibility

To use Find Christian Sitters, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a legal resident of the United States
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Sitter Requirements and Vetting

All individuals applying to become a Sitter on the platform must:

• Complete a comprehensive background check through Checkr, our third-party screening partner, including criminal history, identity verification, and sex offender registry search, at their own expense ($75 one-time fee)
• Provide a verified church affiliation
• Submit personal references, which may be contacted by Find Christian Sitters
• Be approved by Find Christian Sitters before their profile is made publicly visible

Completion of our vetting process does not guarantee the suitability, fitness, or conduct of any Sitter. Find Christian Sitters makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of background check results or the reliability of any Sitter. Parents are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before engaging any Sitter.

5. Parent Responsibilities

Parents agree to:

• Provide accurate information about their children, household, and care needs
• Communicate expectations clearly to Sitters before and during engagements
• Ensure their home environment is safe for both the children and the Sitter
• Accept full responsibility for any agreement entered into directly with a Sitter

6. Payments and Platform Fees

Find Christian Sitters charges a 20% service fee on all completed bookings. This fee is automatically deducted from the Sitter's earnings prior to payout. Parents pay the full rate displayed on a Sitter's profile. All payment transactions are processed securely through our payment partner. By using the platform, you authorize Find Christian Sitters to facilitate payment on your behalf.

Payments to Sitters are typically processed within 2–3 business days following the completion of a confirmed session. Find Christian Sitters is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies are established between Parents and Sitters directly. Find Christian Sitters is not responsible for resolving disputes arising from cancellations. Refunds, if applicable, are subject to the terms agreed upon between the Parent and Sitter at the time of booking. Platform service fees are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.

8. Independent Contractor Relationship

Sitters on the Find Christian Sitters platform are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Find Christian Sitters. Find Christian Sitters does not direct, supervise, or control the manner in which Sitters provide childcare services. Sitters are solely responsible for their conduct, actions, and compliance with applicable laws while providing services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Find Christian Sitters and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to:

• The conduct, actions, or omissions of any Sitter or Parent on the platform
• Any injury, loss, or damage occurring during or after a childcare session
• Inaccurate background check results or reference information
• Any unauthorized access to or use of your account
• Any interruption or cessation of the platform's services

Your use of the platform and engagement with any Sitter or Parent is entirely at your own risk.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Users of the platform agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information during registration or on their profile
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or harm any other user
• Circumvent the platform to arrange payment directly with a Sitter in order to avoid platform fees
• Post or transmit any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or another user's account

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Find Christian Sitters platform — including but not limited to the logo, design, text, graphics, and code — is the exclusive property of Find Christian Sitters and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without our prior written consent.

12. Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Find Christian Sitters, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Termination

Find Christian Sitters reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any user account at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, poses a risk to other users, or is otherwise deemed harmful to the platform or the community it serves.

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a Parent and a Sitter, Find Christian Sitters may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating communication between the parties but is under no obligation to mediate or resolve the dispute. Any legal disputes arising from your use of the platform shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in North Carolina.

15. Changes to These Terms

Find Christian Sitters reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
