Every sitter is required to pass a background check, provide a verified church affiliation, and submit personal references before being listed on the platform. We take a psychology-informed approach to community trust — we don't just run a check, we build a vetted village.

All sitters complete a comprehensive background check — including criminal history and identity verification — before being listed. Church affiliation and personal references are verified separately as an additional layer of trust.

We recommend discussing cancellation expectations with your sitter upfront and keeping a backup option available for time-sensitive needs.

No. Protections available through Find Christian Sitters — including our vetting standards, secure payment processing, and platform support — only apply when bookings are made and paid through the platform. Arranging care outside the platform also violates our Terms of Service. We strongly encourage all parents to keep their bookings on-platform to ensure their family's safety and security.
